Drain Cleaning

Slow drains, gurgling, or a clog that keeps coming back. We clear the line and camera it, because a recurring clog is usually a pipe problem, not a clog problem.

Drain Repairs and Replacements

Water Pressure

Low pressure is not automatically a repipe. We put a gauge on it. Static should read 50 to 80 psi, and it should not drop more than about 10 psi with one faucet running.

Do you handle both small repairs and full system upgrades?

Yes. A dripping faucet and a whole-home repipe get the same process: find the cause, explain it, quote it, then do it. No shortcuts, no compromise.

How often should my home's plumbing be inspected?

Every two to three years, and sooner in an older home or one with galvanized pipe. A camera down the sewer every five years is cheap next to what it catches.

Are your plumbers licensed and background-checked?

Yes. Rare Breed holds Utah license #11166591-5501, and every technician who walks into your home is licensed, trained, and background-checked.

Do you charge for a diagnostic?

Yes. A service call is , and we waive it when you have us do the work. If we do not yet know what is wrong, a diagnostic is 9 during business hours or 9 after hours, and it is often rolled into the repair depending on how involved the diagnosis was. If you already know what you need and just want a price, that is an estimate, and those are often free. Ask when you book and we will tell you which one your job is. Estimates on replacement work are free. We would rather read a gauge and a camera than guess, and you get the real answer either way.

Can I finance a plumbing upgrade?

Yes, for qualified homeowners, on larger projects like water line replacements and repipes. Ask before the work starts and we will walk you through the options.

What areas do you serve?

We run out of our shops in Sandy, Bountiful, and Orem and cover Salt Lake, Davis, Utah, Weber, Summit, Tooele, and Wasatch counties, with a 2-hour arrival window and 24/7 emergency service.

Why do plumbing problems keep coming back?

Because the clog usually is not the problem, the pipe is. A recurring clog means something is wrong inside the line, so we camera it instead of selling you another cleaning.

The Kind of Service People Talk About.

We built Rare Breed to feel different, and it turns out, people noticed. These are their words. Their stories. What it’s like to be cared for by a team that shows up with purpose, listens with respect, and follows through with heart. The kind of experience that stays with you, long after the work is done.

I found Rare Breed by doing a Google search because we had a problem with our sink supply line spraying under our kitchen sink. Court came out the next morning and got everything fixed for us. He was really patient and did a great job of explaining everything he was doing and why. Additionally, he fixed our water pressure for us, as we had way too much pressure, so this will help to alleviate potential problems in the future. While I hope we won’t need any services anytime soon, I’ll definitely use Rare Breed when I do.

Kevin

Had an emergency on a Saturday night with our toilet, came out Sunday morning and got us all setup with a brand new one for a really great price! Even coached me on things to look out for when doing a replacement. Super friendly, super fast, and they care about keeping their work area clean while they’re in your home. Highly recommended!

Andrew J.

Thomas was prompt and helpful! He got the job done and explained everything very clearly . He didn’t try to upsell or do anything we didn’t need! Definitely would recommend!

Elizabeth T.

Miguel took the time to explain what was going on with my pipes and my options to get them fixed! He left everything cleaned up when he was done.

Dawn

They were quick to respond and resolve our issue. They even lowered our price after the initial quote because the work wasn’t as complicated and they felt like it was honest. I will definitely be calling them again.

I needed an old shower drain/p-trap replaced under a concrete slab. Throughout the process, Rare Breed Plumbing, Heating and Air provided best in class communication, customer service and a very nice end product. From their office staff (Randy) to the Service Expert (Jesse), everything flowed effortlessly (pardon the pun). I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend doing business with this company.

Rare Breed Plumbing is awesome. Came out and was able to install a part for my outside water hookup. Talked through all the other options and gave me best thoughts and interest. Also was able to talk about other plumbing things I wanted to get addressed. Super fast and reliable.
