The Herd Protection Plan is our maintenance membership. It exists because most of the expensive calls we run are things that could have been caught a year earlier: a water heater nobody flushed, a drain line that had been slowing down for months, a boiler that never got looked at before the first cold night. Members get the yearly maintenance built in, a lower service call fee, 10% off repairs, and they move to the front of the schedule.

Your $49 service call is waived whenever you have us do the work, and your member discount comes off the repair on top of that.

Trust in our craftsmanship. Herd Protection Plan members enjoy an extended warranty of up to three years on craftsmanship and materials for service repairs. This includes coverage for a wide range of systems and components, ensuring your peace of mind. Continuous Herd Protection Plan membership and annual maintenance performed by our skilled technicians are required for warranty validity.
Preventive Maintenance and Inspection
Our preventive maintenance service is meticulously designed to prevent costly breakdowns, promote energy efficiency, and extend the lifespan of your equipment. Regular maintenance is not just a recommendation; it’s a necessity for maintaining warranty and ensuring the optimal performance of your home systems.
Member-Exclusive Offers
Your membership builds yearly care right in: an annual water heater flush, a full plumbing system inspection, a secondary drain line and camera inspection, water quality testing, and a boiler tune-up when it is needed. Your plan is transferable too, if you ever sell your home.
Added Benefits for Additional Equipment
Have more than one system? Add extra equipment to your plan for a small yearly rate: $15 for an extra water heater, $72 for a tankless flush, or $120 for a boiler system.
Community Commitment
Rare Breed runs out of three Utah shops, in Sandy, Bountiful, and Orem, and the neighbors we work for are the same ones we live next to. On the first workday of every month our crews take a community service day and do a job for someone in the valley who needs it, at no charge.
