We run a 3-hour appointment window rather than an all day window, and we are available 24/7 for true emergencies out of our Sandy, Bountiful, and Orem shops. Call (385) 449-0144 and we will give you the honest ETA, not a number designed to get you off the phone. If the job ahead of yours runs long, the office calls you before your window closes.

Q: What areas do you serve?

Nine counties: Salt Lake, Davis, Utah, Weber, Summit, Tooele, Wasatch, Cache, and Box Elder. We run out of three staffed shops, Sandy at 8763 Sandy Pkwy, Bountiful at 270 S Main St Ste 113, and Orem at 1197 S 1480 W. Not sure whether you are in range? Q: Do you offer financing?

Yes. For larger jobs like water heaters, HVAC systems, and repipes, we offer financing through GreenSky so a big job does not have to wait. The application happens on GreenSky's own site under their terms and approval process. Ask us when you book.

Yes. Book online any hour, and our office confirms the appointment with you. If it is an emergency, call (385) 449-0144 instead so a person hears about it now.

How fast can you get here?

What does a service call cost?

Estimates for a replacement or a new installation are free. Repair work is different: diagnosing a repair takes a licensed technician, time, and tools. A service call is $49, and we waive it when you have us do the work. If we do not yet know what is wrong, a diagnostic is $189 during business hours or $199 after hours. Once the technician has diagnosed the problem you get a price for the repair before any work starts, and you decide.

We had a real problem with our 6 year old tankless water heater. Multiple plumbers came here to evaluate how to repair and install replacement parts. In each case, it was obvious they had no idea or experience working on tankless heaters.

On a referral, I called Rare Breed, to see if they had anyone trained and experienced on our heater. After evaluating the bids and impressions from no less than 4 other plumbing companies, all of which obviously had no expertise in tankless heaters, it was a true pleasure and relief to hear from Rare Breed, that they had expert plumbers who had experience with tankless and, specifically with our heater. They were not lying! They sent a true expert who was not only experienced and obviously skilled and knowledgeable, Aaron was a true gentleman through out the difficult repair. He arrived on time and made an excellent first impression with a firm handshake and introduction. He was neat and clean with clean organized tools. Aaron is as friendly as if I had a good friend come to work on our heater. He did exactly what needed to be done, with obvious skills and knowledge about our heater. It was a massive job that took 6+ hours of complex and difficult disassembly and the installation of extremely complex parts that had been shipped to me from the manufacturer.

The repair was not cheap but, it was literally less than half of what the previous plumbing company had bid.

Now we once again have a fully functioning tankless heater. I wish we had had the counsel and expert installation of Rare Breed 6 years ago. If we had their help then, we would not be dealing with the problems we are having now, because they would have steered us to a MUCH better manufacturer of tankless heaters but, that is water under the bridge now.

Thank you Aaron and to the company who sent you to us. We will use Rare Breed Plumbing for ALL our future plumbing needs and, if we do need their help again, we would also hope they would again send Aaron.
