Rare Breed began as Lundberg Plumbing. Same team, same standards, a new name. Owner Court Lundberg, a Master Plumber, grew up working on his grandfather’s bison farm. His grandfather was a mechanic with a service station. He sold it, retired, and bought a small bison farm. That is where Court learned how this work has to be done. Bountiful is where the company started, our Main Street shop. Sandy, at 8763 Sandy Pkwy, is the main operations hub. Orem is our Utah County shop.

Bison are not cattle. A full-grown bison can clear six feet from a standing start. One weak spot in a fence and the herd is out, maybe in the next county. Accountability means you own that fence, and you own the job. Court’s words: one failed crimp ring, one small mistake, and it is a catastrophic disaster. Water is the same kind of force.

Safety is the other reason the fence has to hold. A weak spot does not stay a small problem. Water behind a finished wall does not either. No shortcuts. Every job keeps your family safe, your home protected, and our crew going home in one piece.

Trust is how you check a fence: you look. You do not hope. We diagnose the real problem, show you what we found, and give you a clear quote before any work starts. When we put a camera down your sewer and it is fine, we tell you it is fine. As Court puts it, to stand out as a contractor all you really have to do is answer the phone and be honest, and that is already better than most.

Excellence is doing it right the first time. Court learned it fast: you do things the right way the first time, or you pay for it later. Cut a corner on a repipe or a water heater and the water will find it, sometimes years later, behind a finished wall. Good enough is never good enough.

Progress means we keep raising the standard. Complacency is the enemy of greatness. The name is not about us being the best. It describes the kind of people we hire. Good plumbers are rare, and we are selective about who wears the logo, because our customers are selective about who they let in the door. Every technician is licensed, trained, and background-checked.
