Older Utah homes were plumbed with galvanized steel that corrodes and scales from the inside until a one-inch pipe is narrowed to the size of a pencil lead, and some eras used polybutylene that fails without warning. Repiping is a real project, so we do not recommend it until we have read a pressure gauge and confirmed the pipe is the cause, because low pressure is often a PRV or an angle stop, not a whole house of bad pipe. When it is time, we replace it right and get your water clean and your pressure back.
